We often hear that Allah is Ar-Razzaq — The Provider.
But in a world obsessed with KPIs and quarterly growth, we tend to shrink “provision” down to a paycheck. We look at the Fortune 500 and think that is where the power lies.
Let’s put things into a different perspective:
1. The Economy of the Body
The smallest human cell performs millions of chemical reactions every second. You have roughly 30 trillion cells. You aren’t “managing” a single one of them, yet they are provided with the energy, oxygen, and instructions to keep you breathing while you sleep.
That is Rizq.
2. The Global Supply Chain
Think of the complex “logistics” required to feed 8 billion people every morning. From the nitrogen cycle in the soil to the honeybee pollinating a flower miles away from you. This “infrastructure” doesn’t have a CEO or a board of directors, yet it never misses a delivery.
That is Rizq.
3. The Currency of Peace
There are people with “Mount Everest” levels of wealth who cannot buy a single night of sound sleep or a moment of genuine sincerity. Clarity of mind, a supportive family, and the ability to find joy in a cup of coffee are assets that never appear on a balance sheet.
That is Rizq.
We live in a world of overwhelming abundance, but we often chase the symptom (money) instead of the Source (Ar-Razzaq).
If you are stressed about your career, your startup, your status, your health, remember:
The Fortune 500 are just 500 entities among millions.
The Earth is just one planet among billions.
Your effort is necessary, but it is not the source of your results.
The takeaway: Don’t become so obsessed with the “hustle” that you forget the One who controls the outcome.
Secure your Akhirah (your legacy and spiritual standing) first. When your connection to the Source is solid, the “Dunya” (the worldly results) doesn’t just follow, it finds its proper place.
Trust the Provider, not the paycheck. 🌿
