My friend, please lend an ear,
Life’s fleeting, death is near.
It might come on land, sea or air,
In a form you can never expect.
When that day comes to call,
Would you face it with peace or regret it all?
-----------------------------
What is it that you chase?
Worldly pleasures, fleeting grace?
Virtual applause and popularity gain?
A life without purpose, a soul in pain?
Extensive wealth, a worldly game?
———————————-
Or a life of meaning, purpose and devotion
With faith as your compass, guiding your actions
Focused on nothing, but seeking His pleasure
A life prioritising the creator, not the creation.
----------------------------
Ask yourself, every minute, every breath,
For every beginning has an end.
If you truly want what lies beyond this life,
Then what’s your plan to achieve just that?
----------------------------
Or do you just like the thought of eternal bliss?
And hope God’s mercy you won’t miss?
No, my friend, God’s justice is truly wise,
He rewards the strivers, not the lazy guys.
He favors hands that build, not minds that merely dream,
Those who turn intentions into actions gleam.
He loves those who strive, with hearts sincere and bold,
Not those with nice ideas, but actions left cold.
----------------------------
Will you turn a blind eye, pretend problems cease?
Because the troubles are on the other side you don’t see?
But deep down, filled with fear and dread,
You know you can’t fool yourself, cos the truth is clear.
----------------------------
So heed this message, my friend, my heart
Don’t think twice, Don’t give doubt a chance
Put in the work, give your all and strive
Afterall, it’s only for a while.
