What is life like on Campus?
Hacettepe is a lively university in my opinion. My department is in the Beytepe Campus and it is a fun place to be. The faculty of medicine is located in the SIHHIYE CAMPUS and I live somewhere nearby. It is not as big as the BEYTEPE Campus and it is somewhat in the city center so it is a bit busier and noisier compared to Hacettepe. This is an advantage in terms of transportation (tramway, underground train, bus, and taxis are all available). It could also be a distraction for some people but the campus still has its walls and it backs a tourist site called HAMAMÖNÜ so the feeling of coziness is still there. I think most students would like the vibe there.
What job opportunities will I have after completing the medicine course?
Hacettepe says: “The graduates of the Faculty of Medicine, medical doctors, work in family medicine centers or public health centers of the Ministry of Health as part of their compulsory work for the government. The graduates who want to attend residency programs should have the national medical residency examination which is held twice a year. They are placed in residency programs according to their choices and exam scores. The residency programs are delivered by universities or governmental training and research hospitals.”
