The earthquake that struck Turkey and Syria on the 6th of February caused the loss of tens of thousands and an immeasurable loss of property. It is an unfortunate and disastrous incident that has heavily affected both countries. We ask God to console the affected families and admit those that have passed away into Jannah (paradise). Aameen
I am impressed by the amount of support, volunteerism, and kindness shown toward the affected families. The Turks have shown us the real definition of brotherhood, oneness, and unity. I particularly appreciate the international students in Turkey who donated their winter clothes, helped package items, and even volunteered to go to the affected areas. A great thanks to those who financially supported the relief packages and to those who gave up their homes/rooms to accommodate evacuated families/students. In a hard time like this, the kindness displayed by the world is truly immense and comforting. May Allah reward them all abundantly.
As the death toll and the number of casualties increase every day, there is a continuous need for our help and donations. If you are in Turkey in a non-affected area:
You can go to the government-assigned areas to help categorize items to be sent to the affected areas.
